👋🏼 Hey Champions!

Welcome back to ⭐️ Sideline Strategy of the Week ⭐️

As a refresher, each Sideline Strategy video will have an expert talking you through quick tips on how to level up your game within Salesloft.

This week we have our very own Senior CSM and Cadence expert, Sheena Johnson, here to discuss how to personalize your templates with a custom field to increase both the relevance and effectiveness of your team’s outreach.

Watch the ~4 minute “how-to” video below and make sure to drop your questions for Sheena in the comments👇🏼

Thanks for watching! We’ll see you next time! 🏆

Have a topic you’d like to see us cover in the weeks ahead? Let us know in the comments!

Hi Sheena,
This is great! I would like to ask if is it possible to add the same level of personalization in a Cadence?

If I add the custom field in a mail, add it into a cadence, it will pop up to me and I can personalize the text before send it?

If so, how can I do that?

Thanks

Thank you - great feature!

Hey @Bruno Cafaggi Paixao 👋 Absolutely, you can use this with cadence emails. When adding an email step to your cadence, you have two options: use an existing template (it's pre-populated with the custom field) or create a fresh email and manually insert the custom field. Either method works, just make sure that custom field is in your email. I just re-tested this to confirm the prompt will trigger for the rep to update the field, as they work through that email step!

Let me know if you have any questions!

I could only see the variable tag for personal templates (I tried it in a team template and it didn’t work) - doesn’t this not work for team templates?

Hi @EdWorsfold - Thanks for your question! You should still able to add this to team email templates by selecting on the { } icon within the create team email template view. I’m able to login on as you on my end and replicate this. what is the name of the field you created? Happy to take a look on the back end. Or maybe did you type the field name slightly off?
