I was unable to find an existing help article on this topic. We have a BDR out on leave. I’d prefer not to change the Salesforce flow to have all their leads be assigned to another team member. I’d prefer to use salesloft to process the re-assignment. Any best practices for managing team members out of office?
If the best practice is to edit the source assignment rule then I’ll work with our SF admin.

Hi @eddie.sempek
Managing cadence steps for a rep who is out of office can be done effectively using the following strategies:
Pause Cadences: The you/rep can pause their cadences before going out of office. This action automatically adjusts the due dates for all tasks to resume when they return. This ensures that no steps are overdue during their absence. Pause Cadences
Act on Behalf Feature: Use the "Act on Behalf" feature to run cadences on behalf of the rep while they are on vacation. This allows another team member to manage the cadence steps without disrupting the workflow. Act on Behalf,
Reassign Cadence Steps: Manually reassign cadence tasks to another user. This can be done from the People tab within the cadence. Select the people in a given step, click the downward arrow next to the "Add to Cadence" button, and choose "Reassign Remaining Steps." Reassign Remaining Steps
Let me know if you have additional questions.
@SWaldman thanks for the reply.
Pausing cadences seems like a good option for general outbound cadences where we don’t have active inbound engagements.
Based on our testing of Act on Behalf, the issue is that it shows all the activity being completed by the person you’re acting on behalf of and not the person doing the work. So the credit for the work doesn’t go to the right person.
Reassigning cadence steps is what we end up doing, but it requires us to go into each cadence. We have dozens to manually go into. It would be great if we could go to the general people view, select all people that have a cadence assigned, and then reassign. Why is the bulk reassignment only available within the cadence people view?
