Handling Out-of-Office (OOO) scenarios can be tricky, but with the right strategies, you can manage these scenarios without losing momentum.

Here are some strategies you can implement to ensure your efforts progress, even when people are OOO:

  1. Use Phone

When people are OOO, especially for an extended time, they will likely return to a large number of emails. In this case, calling can be an effective way to cut through the email noise.

  1. Colleague Mentions

Received an OOO email response? Look for stakeholder referrals within the automated email response.

  1. Leverage Other Stakeholders to Gain Insight

Take advantage of leadership absence to gain insights and understand challenges from other stakeholders in the business. This will help you build a stronger business case to present when leadership returns.

  1. Filter by Tenure

Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator to filter by newer stakeholders (around 2 - 3 months tenure) who are more likely to be available and eager to collaborate.
