Hello @Brian,
Over the last two weeks, we’ve had a need to push a number of extension versions with bug fixes, or as you indicated, a rollback. This is unfortunate timing as also have an issue with the current “New version” banner.
The banner has a “reload” link in it that when clicked will auto update your extension version to the latest version.
The issue you are experiencing relates to the banner “reloading” the extension which triggers “refresh” banners to appear on all other pages where the extension is running. This can put you in a frustrating loop of clearing a banner and creating more banners on pages you already cleared. In short, not a good experience and certainly not our intention.
The current workaround while we await the fix is to click “reload” on the first “new version” banner that you see and then use the browser refresh button to clear any other banners on other tabs.
Early next week, we will deploy a fix for the banner that will make it easier to clear the banner and re-connect the webpage to the updated extension.
Please let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks Kurt. I’ll pass the feedback along to my coworkers.
